How can you improve perfection

Instead of finding one silver bullet solution, they had many small ideas that pushed them in the right direction. After making sure curtains got closed more consistently and putting up signs, the curtains still had some gaps that would open up as people walked by. So they implemented another idea - they got some simple binder clips to help keep the curtains closed, and then they improved the way the clips were stored.

All of these different improvements added up to a nearly perfect overall solution. God bless you! Thank you Henrik for the post! You are so right that opinions from other people have a big impact on our lives. So, I should do everything on time and in one day, otherwise it can be late. I used to think that I had to be right all of the time and I wanted to be better than someone else in a particular hobby such as basketball.

But, I learned that making mistakes is okay and I do need to be doing the right thing just because I want it to be right. Quick question regarding perfectionism: How can I simply do things at the right time at the right place if I am less worried about being perfect? And, can I improve my focus and concentration on one task or activity? I actually that comparing myself to myself is not a helpful habit. Hello Henrik, Thank you for your excellent article. I particularly liked the section about comparing yourself to other people.

It is especially important for children. It is the difference between encouragement and praise. When a child becomes dependent on praise from an adult, a parent or a teacher, they spend all their time trying to please. Encouraging them to be able to look at how far they have come will make them more self-reliant and enable them to get up again when they are knocked down by life. Nice article Henrik, Nobody is perfect, we all make mistakes.

Unfortunately some people have delusions of grandeur and believe they are superior to everyone else, while others have an inferiority complex and strive for perfection. Great article! An article that I will have to read every day for a while… Thank you! Perfection is something that is unobtainable. Thank you for another great article. I just want to become the best version of myself. Hey Henrik, You have summarised this concept very nicely and all your points of this post are logical and relatable.

It's a trait that is not always complimentary to me or to others. I started a new fitness program recently, and I wanted to be perfect on day one of my new workout. I set myself up to fail, of course, since I really am out of shape. I had to take a very large step back and do some self-analysis of my attitude and behavior. I found that I need to accept that small improvements are to be celebrated and that we will not be perfect at most things we undertake.

Just like children who want to be perfect when they read out loud, we adults want to be perfect when we take on new activities.
