Pav 13 E01 Welcome! Black and White Fractional Numbers Sculpture inspired by mathematical fractional numbers, the black and white squares are divided into geometric shapes each representing a mathematical problem. Folkform will exhibit limited edition pieces of lamps and candle holders in brass and bronze and selected glass pieces from the Industrial Intervention exhibition. The exhibition Industrial Intervention started off with a trip to the old glassworks in the Czech countryside. The new pieces explore the collision between mass-produced and handmade articles, where crafts meet industry, the machine meets the hand. Can something new be created when traditional handicraft is incorporated into existing industrial manufacturing processes?

This exhibition will show limited edition pieces in brass and bronze. The collection is comprised of unique candelabras and candleholders. Simple tea light candles are placed side-by-side with pillar candles and more exclusive hand-crafted votives.
The various lights are traditionally used in separate contexts. The new candelabras combine these different types of candles with unique materials to create an entirely new form of expression. The Swedish Design Award premiers for the second time around the best examples of Swedish design. Among over contributions only 19 designs have been nominated by a renowned. A number of these nominees will then in June be premiered with the Swedish Design Award.
